She appeared as the picture of health as she frolicked on the beach but these was to be the last photo shoot of Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe before her tragic death. The candid images were taken by celebrity photographer and friend of Monroe's George Barris, on July 13, 1962. Three weeks later Monroe was found dead in her Los Angeles home, aged 36. Twenty-five years later the collection is now due to go under the hammer in London - with each picture expected to fetch around £1,000 (about $1,500) at Bloomsbury Auctions. Barris told the New York Daily News that the final image he ever took of Monroe was on this Santa Monica beach in California, when she was wrapped in a blanket after playing in the ocean: "She puckered up and said, `This is just for you, George,' and blew a kiss to me. Luksuzni dom koji je nekada pripadao modnom fotografu Miltonu Grinu, bliskom prijatelju Merilin Monro, sada je dostupan svima.
Kuća se sastoji se od četiri spavaće sobe i dva kupatila, a nalazi se u blizini Central parka.
Iako je kuća prošla kroz fazu obnove, još odiše onim starim holivudskim sjajem. Okružena je luksuznim prodavnicama, restoranima i kafićima.
Merilin je s Miltonom osnovala „Merilin Monro“ produkcijsku kuću, što je fotografu pomoglo da se javnost upozna sa njegovim radom.
Slavna glumica je preminula 5. avgusta 1962. godine u 36. godini.
